Do you love Spanish or would you like to improve your Spanish skills?  Do you enjoy hanging out with your friends or simply looking to make friends?  If you answered "YES!" to any of these questions, you should come to Spanish Honor Society, a nationally recognized organization that honors students who have excelled at the study of Spanish (La Sociedad Honoria Hispánica), today!  Students apply for membership in the fall of each school year and are inducted in the spring if they meet all of the society’s requirements. Like any exceptional honor society, we only accept students that demonstrate leadership, behave exceptionally in the class, have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5, and an A- average in Spanish class. Even if you are not an official member, feel free to participate in the festive events. Official membership requires attendance at a short meeting on the first Tuesday of every month, and participation in fun activities like the acclaimed "el dia de habla español", ice skating with the Oaxacan exchange students, cooking authentic Spanish food, and even eating it! As a member you will even be given the opportunity to help others and earn CAS hours by participating in Spanish related community service. ¡Es tiempo para aprender! Y recuerdo que "lo que pasa aquí, se queda aquí".
