Give the Gift of Travel this Holiday Season

Last call to give the gift of travel this holiday season...education and an experience which will last a lifetime.  We have room for one more student and/or their parents on this full trip - all grades are welcome!  The history department at IA is offering a four country trip experience in the Spring of 2018. Though there will be other trips offered in the future, this is the only time we will be offering this special itinerary which corresponds so carefully to our curriculum.

Perry Outreach Program for High School Women

We’re very excited to announce an upcoming Perry Outreach Program on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, MI. The Perry Outreach Program is a free, one-day, hands-on experience for high school women who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and engineering. Students will hear from women leaders in these fields and try it for themselves by performing mock orthopaedic surgeries and biomechanics experiments.

Okma Student Published in Harvard Journal

Karthik Ravi, a student at the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills, recently published a scientific manuscript titled “Upregulation of the Ribosomal Pathway as a Potential Blood-Based Genetic Biomarker for Comorbid Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and PTSD” in the Journal of Emerging Investigators.

Okma National Merit Semi-finalists

Seventeen IA Okma students were named National Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. This honor is bestowed to less than one percent of students nationwide, based on their scores on the Preliminary SAT. About 1.5 million students take the PSAT every year.
