Okma Weekly Message August 22, 2019

Greetings IA Community,

The students now have 3 A-days and 3 B-days under their belts.  This place was a flurry of activity, but the dust is starting to settle around here.  The new year has brought a new process requiring all students to set themselves up on a password reset portal.  This will allow them to reset if they forgot their password or simply want a new one.  It will also require them to reset their password every 120 days. The new password syncs across the network, Google, MISTAR and Moodle.  Please ask your child if they have followed the RESET directions.  Failure to do so, will result in getting locked out of their accounts early next week.

Another new process involves ATTENDANCE PROCEDURES. Late students now scan themselves in at the main office Attendance Station.  In order to leave the building early, you must call the attendance line (248 341 5910) at least ONE HOUR prior to their dismissal in order for them to get an email pass to present to their teacher and then sign out in the main office.

We hope you have marked your calendars for "Back to School Night" Tuesday, August 27 from 7-9 PM.  You will have the opportunity to walk your child's schedule, get familiar with the course material and meet the teachers.  We are looking forward to meeting you all here.

And now for a bit of "housekeeping", literally!  The biology teachers are requesting students bring in a roll of paper towels.
